Alan’s two prints are unique because each one has been die-cut and re-assembled after editioning. Also, they were printed on 4-ply museum rag board. The upper print titled “Compliments of the Artist” was printed from four limestones with the color sequences and colors changing for each impression. The lower image titled “Broken Arrow” was printed on twelve different color rag boards with over printing making up the green and orange colors. The length of each edition was determined by the variations created by cutting and re-assembling of the pieces.
