Jeanette’s prints are unique because they are a mix of lithography and monotype printing.  The first run on each print is a wash drawing on limestone printed with a four- color blend.  The second run is a monotype painted on plex with oil paints.  The third and final run is another limestone drawn with washes and litho crayon.  The key stone on the left print, titled “Habitat” was a transparent black.  The key on the right image called “Encounter ” was a blue-black.  Both prints are 38″x27″.  The enormous variety of color in these two images was obtained through the use of multi-color blending of transparent inks and the use of direct painting in the monotype run.  It was a fun project filled with many challenges.
